Which plan sounds like the right fit for you?

Why is it so important?

Just like a car needs oil changes, consumable replacements, and regular cleaning, household appliances require proper servicing.

Eighty percent of Florida residents carry auto insurance. Many also choose uninsured motorist coverage to protect themselves if an accident involves an uninsured driver, while others opt to increase their coverage limits. In addition, car and home insurance against natural disasters is mandatory in Florida.
At the same time, many people prioritize regular car maintenance—changing engine oil, maintaining proper tire pressure, ensuring wheel alignment, and replacing the battery and brake pads—to extend the life of their vehicles and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Similarly, home appliances require regular maintenance. Unfortunately, the build quality of appliances has noticeably declined in recent decades. Replacing an appliance every two or three years is often unaffordable and impractical. After all, few people replace their cars after a single breakdown, even if the repair costs thousands of dollars.

Our SET Appliances Membership Program is designed to help you extend the life of your appliances, reduce the risk of sudden breakdowns, and save money on repairs. Below, you’ll find a detailed explanation of the importance of each service we provide.

How often should you replace a refrigerator water filter?

The price of a refrigerator filter usually ranges from $50 to $150, depending on the model. As part of any subscription plan, you get two free replacements per year.

Refrigerator manufacturers strongly recommend replacing the water filter every six months to ensure clean, safe, and great-tasting water and ice. Over time, water filters become clogged with sediments, chlorine, and other contaminants. As the filter reaches its capacity, it loses its ability to effectively remove harmful substances. This can result in bacteria, heavy metals, and other impurities passing through into your drinking water and ice. Not only can this compromise the taste and odor, but it may also pose potential health risks for your family. Regular filter replacement ensures optimal water quality, protects your health, and helps your refrigerator operate efficiently.

Dryer Vent Cleaning: Why It’s Important?

At SET APPLIANCE, we clean your dryer vent all the way to the roof. We don’t use leaf blowers, as they aren’t as effective. Our technicians also use specialized tools to check airflow and ensure optimal performance. Dryer vent cleaning usually costs $75–$150, but with our subscription plan, we clean your air duct once a year for FREE, as recommended.

  • Fire Safety: Lint buildup in the dryer vent is highly flammable and is one of the leading causes of house fires. Regular cleaning greatly reduces this risk.
  • Energy Efficiency: A clogged vent makes your dryer work harder and longer, increasing energy consumption and utility bills.
  • Extended Appliance Life: Reduced strain on your dryer helps prevent overheating and mechanical wear, prolonging its lifespan.
  • Better Performance: A clean vent ensures faster drying times and prevents clothes from coming out damp.
  • Healthier Air Quality: Removing lint and debris helps prevent mold growth and keeps indoor air cleaner.

Why You Should Keep Your Refrigerator Coils Clean?

With our subscription plan, we clean your refrigerator coils once a year to ensure optimal performance. The average cost for refrigerator coil cleaning ranges from $145 to $240.

  • Energy Efficiency: Dust and debris on the coils force your refrigerator to work harder, consuming more electricity.
  • Extended Appliance Life: Keeping the coils clean reduces wear and tear on the compressor and other components, helping your refrigerator last longer.
  • Better Cooling Performance: Clean coils ensure proper heat exchange, keeping your food at the right temperature.
  • Prevent Overheating and Breakdowns: Dirty coils can cause the compressor to overheat, leading to costly repairs.

Prevent Problems with Regular Refrigerator Drain Line Cleaning

With our subscription plan, we clean your refrigerator drain line once a year to keep your fridge running efficiently and prevent leaks or clogs. Refrigerator drain line cleaning typically costs $175–$200.

  • Prevent Water Leaks: A clogged drain line can cause water to back up inside your fridge, leading to puddles, ice buildup, or even damage to flooring.
  • Avoid Foul Odors: Food particles and debris trapped in the drain line can cause mold, mildew, and unpleasant smells inside your refrigerator.
  • Maintain Proper Cooling: A blocked drain line can affect the fridge’s defrost system, reducing efficiency and causing temperature issues.
  • Reduce Repairs: Regular cleaning helps prevent costly repairs related to water damage or malfunctioning defrost systems.

Why You Should Maintain Your Dryer’s Interior

With our MAX membership, our technician will clean your dryer’s interior once a year at no additional cost. Regularly, dryer interior cleaning costs $145–$200.

  • Fire Prevention: Lint is highly flammable. Cleaning the interior of your dryer reduces the risk of dangerous fires.
  • Prolonged Appliance Life: Less strain on the dryer’s motor and components extends its lifespan.
  • Better Air Quality: Cleaning lint prevents dust and particles from circulating in your home.

Let’s take a closer look at what you actually get with our membership plans.

Now that you’ve seen the importance of regular appliance maintenance, let’s look at the real numbers. With our Basic plan, you’ll pay only $216 per year, VIP Plan is $378, while the Membership MAX plan is $702 per year. Your total savings on regular maintenance alone will range from $320 to $1,255 — and that’s not even including the cost savings on potential repairs!

Example

We have a Whirlpool top-load washer. Based on our experience, after 2–5 years of use (depending on usage frequency), the suspension rods (Suspension Rod Kit) tend to wear out, causing the washer to constantly go out of balance. In this case, the suspension rods need to be replaced. There are four rods in total, and the cost for all four is $96.95. Let’s calculate the repair cost in each scenario:

Without a Membership
Parts: $96.95 + 7% = $103.74
Shipping: $10
Labor: $200
Service call: applies toward repair
Warranty: 3 month
Total: $313.74

With a Membership Basic plan
Parts: $96.95 + 7% - 5% = $98.55
Shipping: $10
Labor: $200 - 20% = $160
Service call: $0 (FREE)
Warranty: 6 month
Total: $268.55

With a Membership VIP plan
Parts: $96.95 + 7% - 10% = $93.36
Shipping: $10
Labor: $200 - 50% = $100
Service call: $0 (FREE)
Warranty: 1 year
Total: $203.36

With a Membership MAX plan
Parts: $96.95 + 7% - 15% = $88.17
Shipping: $10
Labor: $0 (FREE)
Service call: $0 (FREE)
Warranty: lifetime²
Total: $98.17

The figures above are approximate but give a good sense of the overall situation.
